Lee’s Summit, MO – In a bold move that signals continued growth and innovation, Bennett Packaging has installed its second Barberan Jetmaster digital press, reinforcing its leadership in digital printing within the corrugated industry.
Just two years after making history as the first company in North America to invest in a large-format, single-pass, direct-to-corrugate digital printing press, Bennett is doubling down on the technology that has transformed their business—and their clients’ go-to-market strategies.
Kathy Bennett, CEO of Bennett Packaging, first announced the acquisition of the new press during the company’s 30th Anniversary Celebration.
The arrival of this second machine from the same manufacturer confirms what many in the industry have already recognized: Bennett isn’t following the future of digital printing —they’re building it.
Investments like these set Bennett apart as a packaging and retail display manufacturer that leads with vision and execution
Expanding Our Digital Printing Capability
Bennett’s new Barberan Jetmaster features a 48-inch width, complementing their existing 66-inch press. This addition is especially aligned with jobs that would traditionally be produced using a 40-inch offset press.
It’s a strategic expansion—not a full transition. As Craig Bradley, VP of Manufacturing R&D, puts it, “Not all projects are suited for digital. Digital printing is just one of our capabilities here at Bennett.”
That said, the numbers tell a compelling story. Over the last two and a half years, approximately 90% of Bennett’s litho-lam jobs and 20% of high-graphic flexo direct print jobs have successfully transitioned to digital printing.
With this second press, the company now has greater capacity, increased flexibility, and more opportunity to meet client demand faster than ever.
Regardless of why the digital process may be chosen for a particular project, there is no denying the quality of the output
Bennett has been awarded numerous accolades for this new printing genre over the past couple of years.
Why Digital Printing Matters for the Future of Packaging
For brands, speed-to-market, sustainability, and customization are no longer “nice-to-haves”—they’re essential. That’s where digital printing excels.
Unlike traditional offset or flexographic printing, digital eliminates the need for print plates and litho-labels. This reduces raw material use, cuts down waste, and drastically improves production speed.
Robert Sweet, Bennett’s Sales Manager, emphasizes this point: “This digital press gives our customers another production option when they want high-graphic packaging and retail displays.
Digital print may be preferred for a project simply to increase the speed to market, or because different creative versions are needed for the same structure, or to help fulfill a client’s sustainability efforts of reducing raw materials.”
With digital printing, clients can execute targeted campaigns, regionalized graphics, and short-run jobs without the cost and time constraints of conventional methods.
The creative team can develop and test multiple SKUs in a single run, giving marketing teams newfound agility.

Commitment to Quality and Innovation
Beyond speed and flexibility, digital printing also delivers on quality. The Barberan Jetmaster is known for producing crisp, vibrant graphics that rival or exceed litho quality.
That quality has not gone unnoticed—Bennett has received multiple awards in recent years, recognizing their excellence in this evolving print medium. These accolades are more than trophies—they reflect a deeper commitment to innovation.
Bennett’s fully integrated facility, located in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, runs three shifts per day to meet the growing demand. With this second digital printing press in operation, production capacity has significantly increased, offering clients faster turnaround and enhanced service.
A Partner for the Future
Whether a client needs a plain brown shipping box or a sophisticated, high-graphic point-of-purchase display, Bennett delivers.
With over 30 years of experience, this woman-owned business has mastered the art and science of corrugated packaging. And with their latest investment in digital printing, they’re ensuring their clients remain on the leading edge of retail innovation.
Bennett offers guided tours of their production facility and can provide digitally printed samples upon request.
From design to delivery, they remain a single-source partner for brands that value quality, speed, and strategy.
As Kathy Bennett shared, “We’ve always believed in being proactive—adapting to what’s next before it becomes necessary. This second digital press isn’t just about increasing volume; it’s about strengthening our promise to our customers.”
Why Bennett
